as the old song goes...

"Sisters. Sisters. There were never such devoted sisters....
Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing...
All kinds of weather, we stick together the same in the rain or sun
[Three] different faces but in tight places we think and we act as one.
Those who've seen us know that not a thing could come between us...
Lord, help the mister who comes between me and my sister
and Lord, help the sister who comes between me and my man!"

I've truly been blessed with the best sisters any girl could ever ask for. No matter what we're doing we always find a way to have fun. Love you girls!

a child's faith

How encouraging and yet convicting it is to hear a CHILD pray! No matter how small and insignificant it may seem to us, a child will pray about anything from his neighbor's dog being nice to asking protection for all the soldiers fighting overseas. They just open up and talk to God believing that He cares for each and every one of their needs/wants. Oh that more people could stop trying to fix things for themselves and turn in childlike faith to the only ONE WHO can help...Jesus Christ. Jesus said we must become "as a little child". Let's follow their example! Isaiah 11:6b "...and a little child shall lead them."

"East to West" by Casting Crowns

God's love is so amazing...even tho I don't deserve it. Time and time again I stumble and fall and still He forgives me when I call on His name in repentance.

Here I am Lord,
And I'm drowning
In your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don’t want to end up where you found me
And it echoes in my mind,
Keeps me awake tonight

I know you cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before you now as,
As though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the east is from the west
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest,
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scarred hand to the other.

I start the day the war begins
Endless reminding of my sin
And time and time again your truth is drowned out
By the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away,
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me,
Just how far the East is from the West
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
'cause you know
Just how far the East is from the West
From one scarred hand to the other.

I know you've washed me white,
Turned my darkness into light
I need your peace to get me through,
To get me through this night
Can’t live by what I feel
But by the Truth your work reveals,
I'm not holding on to you
But you're holding on to me,
You’re holding on to me

Jesus you know
Just how far the East is from the West
I don't have to see the man I've been,
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
'cause you know just how far the East is form the West,
From one scarred hand to the other.

Just how far
The east is from the west

From one scarred hand to the other

just to clarify...

ok, so that last entry...the amazing poem I found...I found it on my friend's blog and fell in love with it so I just copied it. Not knowing that it was written by none other than my amazing friend and former roommate Sarah Kinsey. So let's give credit to where credit is due...

I found this amazing poem on the internet...written by Sarah Kinsey.

Sarah: You're the greatest! I miss you so much...I miss our late night talks and our messy room. I miss listening to Taylor Swift and Wicked and your choir CDs. I miss making up excuses to not go to youth group (not like I ever did that lol) I miss making fun of you for wearing so many layers when it wasn't even cold. Thanks for being my friend!!! Love ya girl <3>

amazing poem that I found...

I'm ready to give my heart away,
but it's not mine to give.
My heart is in my Savior's hands
for it's for Him I live.

I dance with Him,
my heart's first love.
He holds me in His arms.
I know His love is pure and true
and so, the dance goes on.

I stumble, yet He pulls me close,
His eyes locked on my face.
"I don't deserve your love,"I say.
"Yes. But that, my daughter, is grace."

Amazing grace. I smile and think
how you love a wretch like me.
Your love so pure and constant,
it's an amazing thing indeed.

For though your love remains so strong,
my heart is troubled still.

I long for "true love" here on earth
to be smitten and swept off my feet.
To dance beneath the moonlit sky
and give my heart away for keeps.

Why do I long for such a love,
for a man so brave and strong?
The very Maker of the universe gave up His life for me.
That is the ultimate love song.

So Lord, I ask and pray this day,
that You would keep my heart.
Hold it, satisfy it, nourish it
and keep it safe from harm.

I choose to dance with You, my Love
until the day YOU choose
to share my heart with the man of my dreams
and I'll share his heart with You.
